Portugal and Spain are to face off in the UEFA Nations League final on Sunday.

The sides of Roberto Martinez and Luis de la Fuente have navigated difficult group stages, a two-legged quarter-final and most recently their own semi-final ties to have the opportunity to win the prize.

Portugal came from behind to beat Germany on their own soil to book their place in the final, meanwhile European champions Spain held off France in a 5-4 thriller.

Both nations make up two of only three to have ever won the Nations League, inaugurated in 2018, so one will become the first to win it twice. That means they have a good idea what is truly at stake – automatic qualification for next summer’s FIFA World Cup.

There are a many Premier League stars of past, present and perhaps future ready to battle for the prize.

In the Portuguese corner is Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva, Ruben Dias, Pedro Neto, Joao Felix and Diogo Jota, amongst others.

Representing the Spanish is expected to be Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi – possibly on his way to Arsenal afterwards – and he could be joined by Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams. Alongside them will be Mikel Merino, Marc Cucurella, Pedro Porro and Dean Huijsen.

Portugal’s clash against Spain is scheduled to kick-off at 8pm BST on Sunday, June 8 at the Allianz Arena in Munich.

Is Portugal vs Spain being shown live on TV?

Yes. In the United Kingdom, ITV have the broadcasting rights for Portugal vs Spain this weekend.

The match will be broadcast live on ITV1, with coverage getting underway at 7.30pm GMT, approximately 30 minutes before kick-off, and will be free to watch in the UK if you have a TV license.

Mark Pougatch will head up the show as presenter and will be joined in the studio by Guillem Balague and Karen Carney for analysis. On commentary duty will be Seb Hutchinson and former Tottenham star Andros Townsend.
