A woman who gave birth three times in less than a year has explained the age gap between her children, joking that when they turn 18 it’ll be a really expensive time

Giving birth is no small feat, but one woman did it three times in one year – even though her children are not triplets.

Sarita Holland, 41, welcomed all three of her children in less than a year. She gave birth to her daughter Stevie, and then later on in the year had a set of identical twins, Kip and Bowie – just 10 months after her first daughter. Her twins were born prematurely at 30 weeks and five days, and this means that her children are the same age for two months each year.

All three of her children are now 13 years old, and she’s joked that when the three of them turn 18, she’s in for an expensive month.

The content creator from Victoria, Melbourne, Australia said: “I found out I was pregnant again when my daughter was only 10 weeks old. Then to find out that there were two babies in there was insane. It sounds crazy, and it was. Every year all three of my children are the same age for two months.”

She admitted that she held her twins back a school year to ensure that Stevie was given some space without her siblings.

The mum also spoke about being pregnant while caring for a tiny baby, saying it “wasn’t easy”, but she “actually had quite a straightforward pregnancy and felt pretty good afterwards.”

“It was absolutely crazy, and you can probably imagine my shock”, she said. Sarita also uploaded a video on social media to explain her story, which has been viewed 1.5 million times, with many parents taking to the comments to express what a strong woman she is.

One TikTok user said: “Wow! That’s one amazing strong Mum, I can imagine how exhausting that must have been”, with someone else saying that she was a “machine”, congratulating her for what she’d done.
