Chelsea will learn their 2024/25 Premier League fixture list next week just less than a month after the curtain came down on the last campaign.
The Blues will be looking to build on last season’s sixth-placed finish under Mauricio Pochettino with Enzo Maresca taking over at Stamford Bridge. Maresca was appointed as the new head coach earlier this month after a rapid recruitment process by the club hierarchy.
The Premier League will release the fixtures for the new season on Tuesday, June 18. The 380 matches will be revealed at 9am (UK time) with all eyes on key dates throughout the football calendar.
Last season, Chelsea were handed a tough start with Liverpool visiting Stamford Bridge followed by a trip to West Ham – seeing them earn just one point. Maresca will be hoping for a kinder fixture list for the Saturday, August 17 start date.
Ahead of next week’s fixture release, clubs have been using social media to build-up the excitement. Newly-promoted and Maresca’s former team, Leicester City, have asked a number of players who their preferred opening day opponents would be.
Ricardo Pereira and Mads Hermansen, who has been linked with becoming the new goalkeeper at Chelsea, have both claimed they want to face Chelsea. An opening day clash with the Blues would see Maresca take on his former team in his first game.

Pereira wrote: “Chelsea at home *three laughing face emojis*,” with Hermansen putting: “Chelsea of course *laughing face emoji*.” Ironically, Pereira is one of just two players who have sent Maresca a farewell message on social media since he left the club.
