There are delays on the roads into Heathrow Airport following a blockage in a tunnel this morning, Sunday June 30. According to the Heathrow Airport official account on X, a blockage has occurred in the tunnel to the terminals.
This is causing delays for motorists trying to access the airport today, with diversions reportedly in place. On X, one person reported: “Not sure what is going on with access to Heathrow Terminal 1,2,3 but roads are closed with diversions everywhere. Absolute carnage. Avoid the area if you can.”
Heathrow Airport have said: “We apologise for the inconvenience however there is some traffic due to a blockage in the tunnel. The team working hard to solve the issue. Please call the shuttle bus team via the telephone number: 020 8745 6261 to ask when the next available bus will be coming through.”
