A London Underground line is part-suspended with two more suffering severe delays ahead of rush hour this morning (Friday, July 19). There is currently no service on the District line between Turnham Green and Richmond due to a late finish of engineering works.

Thankfully, the rest of the line appears to be unaffected by this and is operating a good service. Travelling from Richmond also won’t be possible on the London Overground this morning due to planned works on the line towards Willesden Junction.

A late finish of improvement works has led to severe delays on the Metropolitan line.

It’s affecting passengers along the entire line from North West London to Central London, with delays disrupting journeys between Amersham, Chesham, Uxbridge and Watford towards Aldgate.

A track fault at Chigwell means London Underground passengers in North East London are facing severe delays between Epping and Leytonstone.
