A road in Croydon has been blocked in both directions by police after a crash between a bus and a car left a man trapped this morning, May 1. The A232 Duppas Hill Lane has been closed near to Waddon Railway Station after the serious crash, which saw emergency services rush to the scene.
A man was trapped in the car, and needed firefighters from the London Fire Brigade to free him. A spokesperson for the force said they removed the roof of the car in order to help get the man out.
Two people were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital, and a third person also made their way to hospital separately, the London Ambulance Service has said. The road has been closed between Lower Combe Street and Epsom Road, and is causing heavy traffic build up in the area.
The emergency services, including the Metropolitan Police, the London Ambulance Service, and the London Fire Brigade, have all been contacted for further information about this incident.
