The Purley Way has been part closed following a serious crash. Local reports state a man was seen lying in the road following the Croydon crash which happened near the corner of Purley Way Playing Fields.
Traffic monitoring site INRIX says the incident happened at 8.30am this morning (Tuesday, July 30). Its latest update reads: “A23 Purley Way Northbound closed, slow traffic due to accident from Edgehill Road to Imperial Way. Just before 08:30, by the corner of the playing fields.”
Live traffic cameras show traffic in Purley has been severely affected by the crash with parts of the town centre at a standstill. We have contacted Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service for more information.
