Drivers are facing long delays on the M25 this morning after a serious crash has led to closures. The anticlockwise exit slip road for Lakeside and Purfleet in Essex remains shut while accident investigation work takes place.
Traffic monitoring site INRIX reports there a queues stretching back into Thurrock, and on the A13 past Grays. Its latest update reads: “After a serious accident just before midnight. The A13 and M25 are both open straight across, but no access around the roundabout to the A13 into London, westbound A13 traffic can only join clockwise, and the link from J31 Purfleet is closed.”
National Highways has confirmed emergency services are currently attending the serious crash.
