What Great Northern and Thameslink passengers can do
National Rail has issued the following advice for Great Northern and Thameslink passengers.
Services are unable to run between Welwyn Garden City and Hitchin, and Hertford North and Stevenage until further notice.
The following service changes are expected, although these are subject to change at short notice:

Thameslink services that normally run between Horsham and Peterborough will run between Horsham and Three Bridges, and between Peterborough and Hitchin only.

Thameslink service that normally run between Brighton and Cambridge will run between Brighton and London Bridge only.

Great Northern services that normally run between Moorgate and Stevenage via Hertford North, will run between Moorgate and Watton at Stone only.

Great Northern services that normally run between Kings Cross and Ely/Kings Lynn will run between Cambridge and Kings Lynn only.

Great Northern services that normally run between Kings Cross to Cambridge (stopping services), will run between Cambridge and Hitchin only.
You should delay your journey if possible, but if you must travel, you can use an alternative route. You should allow an extra hour.

Greater Anglia services London Liverpool Street and Cambridge/Ely.
Thameslink and Great Northern services on any reasonable route, including services to/from St Albans, Luton and Bedford.
CrossCountry, East Midlands Railway and Greater Anglia services between Ely and Peterborough.
Arriva Buses services north of London
- 100/101 between Stevenage / Hitchin and Luton / Luton Airport Parkway
- 301 – between St Albans and Stevenage via Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City and Knebworth
- 98 between Hitchin and Baldock
- 97 between Hitchin and Letchworth
- 55 between Stevenage and Letchworth
Uno Buses services north of London
- 601 between Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, St Albans City, Radlett, and Borehamwood
- 602 between Hatfield, St Albans, and Watford
- 635 between Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, and St Albans
- 610 between Luton, Harpenden, Hatfield (town centre), Welham Green, Brookmans park, and Potters Bar
Within London
- London Underground on any reasonable route.
- Buses between Potters Bar and Central London.
- Elizabeth line services between London Liverpool Street and Farringdon.
