London traffic and travel live: M25, M23 and Underground delays as multiple incidents cause chaos

There is travel chaos across London today (June 30), with delays on major motorways and no service on parts of the London Underground. In this live blog, we’ll be keeping you updated on everything going on across London’s transport network. Currently ongoing are:

M25 Dartford Tunnel anticlockwise – From Junction 1A A206 Dartford to Junction 31 A1306 Lakeside/Purfleet, the left-hand tunnel is experiencing delays after an earlier closure. According to National Highways, there’s around seven miles of traffic.

M23 Northbound near Gatwick Airport – All lanes reopened and delays cleared after previous emergency repairs.

M40 Northbound near High Wycombe – An earlier crash between Junction 4 High Wycombe Handy Cross Roundabout and Junction 5 A40 Ibstone Road caused residual delays, including onlookers on the other side of the road. This has now been cleared.

M4 Westbound – Weekend roadworks are causing people to divert, causing congestion to just before Junction 10.

M4 Eastbound – An earlier broken-down vehicle at Junction 3 is causing delays.

London Underground – District line – There is currently no service on the District line between Turnham Green and Richmond.
