There were hour long delays on the M25 due to a lorry which overturned following a crash, causing mayhem on the motorway on Thursday, October 30.

Photographs showed the “complex recovery” of the lorry being carried out by National Highways Traffic Officers.

The M25 in Surrey was closed anticlockwise between J10 Cobham and J9 Leatherhead following the incident.

There was congestion to J11 Chertsey and long queues through Byfleet and Cobham, and diverting back through Oxshott and Chessington.

The motorway has now reopened.
