Man, 32, charged with murder of elderly man found dead at Kensington home

A man has been charged with the murder of an elderly man in west London. The 78-year-old was killed in a residential property in Kensington on Sunday, March 17.

Aston Lambert, 32, of Longridge Road, will appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 20 March charged with murder. An investigation was launched after police were called to a disturbance at a residential address in Longridge Road, on Sunday.

Officers conducted CPR until the London Ambulance Service paramedics arrived but despite their efforts, a 78-year-old man died at the scene. The family of the victim have been informed and have asked for privacy at this very difficult time.

Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our deepest condolences are offered to the family and all those who knew the victim. While our investigation remains ongoing, we are not seeking anyone else at this time.”
