A man has been charged with the murder of a London DJ who was kidnapped and horrifically tortured to death in 2022. Dylan Weatherley, 20, has been charged with the murder of Koray Alpergin, 43, who was kidnapped with his girlfriend Gozde Dalbudak, 34, and then tortured to death in October 2022.

Weatherley is to stand trial for the crime and is due to appear in Highbury Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (March 14) for an initial hearing before the case is transferred to crown court. The couple were abducted at knifepoint on their way back home from an Italian restaurant in Mayfair on October 13, 2022 and bundled into a van. They were then taken to an empty wine bar backing onto Tottenham Hotspur’s stadium.

Here, Koray was savagely beaten, throttled, scalded with boiling water, stabbed, maimed and horrifically violated. His naked body was found dumped in Loughton, Essex at the Oakwood Hill Industrial Estate by a dog walker two days later on October 15. A post-mortem revealed he had 94 separate injuries.
