Hello and welcome to football.london’s live blog covering Arsenal’s Premier League match with Manchester City from the Etihad Stadium. The Gunners are hoping to win away from home against their title rivals in the league for the first time under Mikel Arteta.

The ramifications of any result are huge for the title race with Liverpool looking to benefit from a draw and a defeat for either side a significant blow to their hopes of landing the Premier League trophy. Arsenal come into the game as league leaders following their 2-1 win over Brentford and City and Liverpool’s draw at Anfield.

Both teams have fitness concerns although Pep Guardiola has already ruled out both Kyle Walker and John Stones who were injured whilst on international duty with England. Manuel Akanji, Ederson and Kevin De Bruyne also had issues but could all yet make the squad.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have late calls to make on Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Magalhaes who all pulled out of duty for their countries. All three have however been supposedly spotted with two pictured ahead of this afternoon’s game.

It promises to be the toughest challenge of the Gunners season so far but one which offers a significant reward for coming through it. Tom Canton and Kaya Kaynak will be bringing all the build-up, match coverage and commentary from the Etihad Stadium, with updates to follow.
