Martin Lewis has issued some time sensitive advice ahead of this Friday for all Tesco shoppers. In his weekly newsletter, which was sent out earlier today (Wednesday, May 29), the Money Saving Expert reminded customers that £17 million worth of Clubcard vouchers are set to expire this Friday (May 31).

Clubcard vouchers are only valid for two years from the date they were issued, unless you’ve successfully extended them. If you don’t know when yours run out and you’ve still got them in paper, then simply check the date.

However if you’ve lost them, you can check online or via the Clubcard app. If you check online, go to the Tesco Clubcard website, click ‘Clubcard account’ and then ‘Vouchers’.

However for this method you must have a Tesco account and you must know your Clubcard number, which can be found on Clubcards and Clubcard key fobs. You should then be able to see a table listing your available vouchers and their expiry dates. If you wish to check via the app, go to ‘Clubcard’ and then to the ‘Vouchers’ section.

£5 free for all new Asda shoppers

In another deal in his weekly Money Saving Expert tips newsletter, published on Wednesday morning (May 29, Mr Lewis has shared how all new Asda shoppers can get £5 off their first time shops – be it online or in-store. You get the £5 voucher in your ‘Cashpot’ for completing your first online or in-store shop.

However this must be done before 11.59pm on Sunday, June 30. The £5 will then appear in your wallet in the app which needs to be converted into a voucher which can be used when you shop.

Once you have the app and have an account you’ll see various offers under the ‘Earn’ tab, which Asda calls ‘Missions’. This one is called ‘First Scan Bonus’.

Once you’ve done your first Asda shop, and scanned the app, the £5 bonus will appear in your Cashpot automatically. If your first shop is online, you must make sure you use the same email address for the Asda Rewards app as you do for logging in and shopping online, as this will link your accounts up.
