Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are “struggling for content” after moving on from the Royal Family drama, according to one expert.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex sent shockwaves around the world when they stepped down as senior working royals before opening up about life behind the Palace walls. Meghan and Harry have been highly critical about their old life, hitting out at the Royal Family on their Netflix docuseries and in a dramatic interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Harry also criticised his family in his debut memoir, Spare, referencing his brother Prince William and father King Charles. However, the Sussexes now seem to be trying to move past the feud, but royal commentator Andrew Pierce doesn’t think it’s paying off.

During an appearance on GB News, Lord Kulveer Ranger said: “They’re really struggling to get the content. It’s all about content. If you want people listening to your podcast and the clicks, you’ve got to have something to say.”
Andrew added: “Is the point here that unless they’re b**ching about the Royal Family, there’s no way they can monetise?” Lord Ranger agreed, but said “monetisation of the family only had so much room”.
Meghan and Harry have moved away from speaking about the Royal Family, with Meghan launching her new lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard and Harry producing a new Netflix show about polo.
The Duchess of Sussex will also be producing a new Netflix show, focusing on “the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship”. Andrew suggested Meghan might struggle to make a success of her show, saying: “Nobody is going to tune into Netflix to see her making a pot of jam.”
Harry and Meghan’s new shows are still in the early stages of production, but release dates are expected to be announced in the coming months. Harry’s show will be produced by Boardwalk Pictures, who have also released shows such as Chef’s Table and Pepsi, Where’s My Jet?. The other show in production will be fronted by Meghan and will be produced by Sony Pictures Television’s The Intellectual Property Corporation.
MiloÅ¡ Balać, who has previously worked on Welcome to Wrexham, will serve as showrunner for Harry’s polo series. For Meghan’s show, Leah Hariton will serve as showrunner with Michael Steed.
