According to an expert, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle ‘might not come across as relatable’ in her new Netflix cookery show as she is poised to show off her daily lifestyle

Meghan Markle’s new cookery show, which was recently announced amid the couple’s Netflix deal, will show her “softer side” but she might not come across as “relatable”, an expert has claimed.

Earlier this month it was revealed that the Sussexes are currently gearing up to work on two separate factual series with Netflix amid their multi-million-dollar deal with the streaming platform. One will be about the world of professional polo, headed up by Harry, while another will focus on gardening, cooking and lifestyle, headed up by Meghan.

The Duchess of Sussex’s show will supposedly celebrate “the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship”, with the show announced shortly after Meghan unveiled her new brand American Riviera Orchard, which is rumoured to sell home decor items and cooking condiments.

Lynn Carratt, a PR guru from Press Box PR, has now weighed in on how the Sussexes are changing public perception Meghan’s new brand, and the couple’s two Netflix shows. Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, Ms Carratt said: “I think with the launch of the two Netflix documentaries we will see different sides to the couple.”

Touching on Meghan’s new show, she said that it will likely “provide a glimpse of her softer side as it celebrates the joys of cooking and entertaining friends”. She then noted how the Duchess “has gone from a women with political ambition to making jam, so it will be great for viewers to get an inside track on where her passions lie”.

Voicing a concern, Ms Carratt said: “I just worry that the documentary will showcase her seemingly perfect life, and the public may prefer a more relatable story.”

Concluding her analysis, Ms Carratt looked at the Duke’s Netflix project. She said: “On the other hand, Harry’s upcoming documentary about the world of polo could be an opportunity for him to showcase his true self. Having played Polo at a high level since a young age, this is something he excels at. Prior to Megxit and the controversy surrounding Prince Harry, the British public adored him. Hopefully, this documentary will allow his personality to shine through.”
