Meghan Markle has a special name for Prince Harry, and she used it when they went to see the family of Irma Garcia. Irma was a teacher who died in the Uvalde Shooting in 2022.

The tragic event took the lives of 19 students and two teachers, and 17 more people were hurt by an 18-year-old named Salvador Ramos. When Meghan and Harry visited the Garcia family, they sang “Happy Birthday” to someone in the family. They also took photos and talked with everyone there.

According to The Mirror, in a video that was posted on the internet you can see Meghan holding a birthday cake. She looks at Harry and calls him “My love.”

John Martinez, who is Irma Garcia’s nephew, posted a video on X, formerly Twitter. He said: ” Prince Harry and Meghan Markle singing happy birthday to my mom”.

In the video, Meghan is giving a birthday cake to someone, and Harry is right behind her. They are both singing with the family.

Speaking to Hello magazine, Martinez said the visit from the Sussexes ‘meant the world’. He said: ” It truly meant the world that Harry and Meghan showed up to visit the family, there were lots of tears of joy and heartfelt moments. They were the kindest, most humble people ever, it was like having family and friends over, having an amazing time together.”

The visit to the Garcia family happened while Meghan and Harry were in Texas for Meghan to attend a panel for International Women’s Day. The Duchess of Sussex was named as one of the main speakers at the South by Southwest (SXSW) series of festivals and conferences.

On Friday (March 8), Meghan joined Brooke Shields, Katie Couric, Errin Haines and Nancy Wang Yuen for a talk titled “Breaking Barriers, Shaping Narratives: How Women Lead On and Off the Screen”. The panel was chosen because all the women featured are known to support human rights and gender equality.
