A portion of the Tottenham squad were back at Hotspur Way on Saturday, July 6 to kick off preparations for the 2024/25 season. Though the most recent campaign only ended in late May, Spurs are already beginning pre-season training before jetting off to South Korea later this month.

The likes of Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero and Rodrigo Bentancur are still in action at the European championships and Copa America, respectively. Meanwhile Guglielmo Vicario, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Radu Dragusin are still a few weeks off returning having all been knocked out of Euro 2024 at the last-16 stage.

Though there were several recognisable faces not back at Tottenham’s training ground this past weekend, returning loanees and new signings were among the players spotted. In the 30-second clip uploaded to the club’s social media accounts, Lucas Bergvall, Archie Gray and Timo Werner were all captured.

While Gray and Werner both signed this summer, Bergvall was announced as a new signing back in February though he only officially became a Tottenham player earlier this week. Werner meanwhile has re-joined the club on another loan spell from RB Leipzig with Gray signed in a £40million deal from Leeds United.

Sergio Reguilon, Djed Spence, Ashley Phillips and Alejo Veliz were also recorded heading through main reception after all four spent the latter half of last season on loan. Two forgotten stars will have also began preparations for the new campaign with Manor Solomon and Destiny Udogie back in the building to continue their rehabilitation from injury.

In the final weeks of last season, Udogie suffered a quadricep injury which required surgery to fix while Solomon has missed the last nine months courtesy of a plaguing knee problem. In the video, Udogie was walking without an obvious limp which suggests he could play a role in pre-season.

The Italy international was also barely recognisable courtesy of his new haircut with his signature braids swapped out for a skin fade. James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, Brennan Johnson Pape Matar Sarr, Pedro Porro, Oliver Skipp, Fraser Forster, Bryan Gil were others back in for testing before holding their first official training session on Sunday.
