Imminent Arsenal signing Cristhian Mosquera has been spotted in Singapore with his future teammates amid the pending announcement of his move to north London.
The defender is expected to become signing number five at the Emirates Stadium this summer after an agreement was reached with Valencia over a week ago.
An initial £15million will be paid to the La Liga side after sporting director Andrea Berta successfully negotiated a deal below their original £17.4m asking price. Mosquera is set to join Viktor Gyokeres in completing Arsenal’s transfer business this summer.
Mosquera hasn’t been confirmed as of yet but that hasn’t stopped the centre-back integrating into the Gunners squad. On Thursday, an image surfaced online of him in Singapore with some of his new teammates.
Posing alongside an Arsenal supporter, Mosquera was joined by Martin Zubimendi, David Raya and Kepa Arrizabalaga in what appears to be a shopping centre.
Mosquera’s move is expected to be confirmed in the near future after reports stated his medical took place last week. All relevant paperwork has been exchanged and it’s anticipated he could feature in the friendly against Newcastle on Sunday.
If not, Arsenal are in action next Thursday against north London rivals Tottenham. Arteta’s side then return to London to take part in the Emirates Cup before taking on Manchester United on the opening day of the season.
The Gunners’ transfer business isn’t expected to stop with Mosquera and Gyokeres. A new left-sided forward is also said to be on Berta’s radar with Rodrygo and Eberechi Eze linked with strengthening Arteta’s attack further.
