A TV presenter has revealed how Prince Harry kissed him on the lips and took his shirt off during a ‘lively’ night out in Chelsea that he will certainly never forget
A British television presenter remembered being completely bewildered after Prince Harry kissed him on the lips – before he vanished.
Paddy McGuinness, 52, was sharing Soccer Aid stories when he recalled suddenly having a dance off with King Charles’ son, who he shared a Jagerbomb with, inside a bar in Chelsea.
He retold the story to former Manchester United footballers Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt and also musician Niall Horan who were all left in fits of laughter.
The conversation on the latest The Good, The Bad & The Football podcast turned to Harry after Niall recalled playing in Soccer Aid in 2016.
Paddy said that was a “lively one” before adding: “I think 2016, we went to, we had a night near the hotel, I think it was called Jak’s. We were down there, just what you were saying about the World Cup winners and what have you.
“I’ll never forget, we all had a few drinks, and we are all in there, and I don’t know why, Carragher decides to have a dance off against Cafu.”
However, as for what happened next, he continued: “But that was the same night I got a tap on the shoulder and I turn around… Prince Harry! He goes, ‘I wanna go to Fernando’s.’”
Fernando’s is the fictional island where winning couples were destined for on Take Me Out, the dating show Paddy famously presented.
Laughing about the bizarre memory, he turned to Niall and said: “You were there, this is God’s honest truth.
“I’m going, for a second, I’m going, ‘That’s f***ing Prince Harry… It’s Prince Harry!’ And he then, like, gets hold of me, puts the lips on me, and then, starts having a dance off.
“I am now having a dance off with f***ing eighth in line to throne. He takes my T-shirt off, which at the time, I’m holding my stomach in, and then just disappears and that were that… just a random night.”
Former One Direction star Niall replied: “I remember actually staring and you just looked at me like, ‘What the f*** just happened?’”
Paddy, who had a beer in each hand during his dance with royalty, added: “I remember Niall going, ‘I’ve seen some things in my time, but that was f***ing up there.’”
The comedy icon previously told the story in his autobiography My Lifey where he wrote that Harry also bought the pair Jagerbombs before giving him a “smacker on the lips”.
He also said: “To say we were dancing close was an understatement – our chests were touching. He asked me again if I could send him to Fernando’s.”
