Prince William and Prince Harry could potentially reunite at the Duke of Westminster’s wedding in June, it has been claimed.
It was previously reported that the Duke of Sussex turned down a “save the date” to the Duke of Westminster’s wedding to avoid an “awkward” encounter with the other family members he might see there.
Hugh Grosvenor, the 7th Duke of Westminster’s wedding to Olivia Henson will take place this June at Chester Cathedral. At first, reports claimed that the Sussexes had not been invited, with it emerging soon after that they did receive a save-the-date notice.

Reports claimed at the time that the couple decided not to accept the invitation because it would be too awkward to attend the ceremony, which will see many of their family in attendance. “Harry actually got a ‘save the date’ card a few months ago but called Hugh and said it would be too awkward if he and Meghan Markle attended, so he made his apologies and Hugh understood,” a source told Page Six at the time.
But as the nuptials approach, speculation is mounting that the brothers could both attend the lavish wedding, which follows on from reports that Harry reached out to his brother following the news of the Princess of Wales’ cancer diagnosis.
According to Ephraim Hardcastle’s latest column, it has become a “society guessing game” as to whether or not Prince Harry will show up at the event, with the Duke of Westminster thought to be “staying neutral and maintaining a good relationship with both brothers”.
But Hardcastle’s column did make a poke at Prince Harry when he said: “Perhaps Harry might replicate his attendance at the Diana Legacy Awards last week when he appeared via video.”This comes after Princess Catherine of Wales revealed her cancer diagnosis following weeks of speculation in regards to her whereabouts and health after she underwent abdominal surgery at The London Clinic earlier this year.
Following Catherine’s announcement, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex issued a statement in regards to their sister-in-law. The statement read: “We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace.”
Shortly after the Sussexes shared their statement, it was then alleged that they had “reached out privately” to the Waleses despite their ongoing rumoured feud following the Sussexes stepping down from their royal roles and moving to the States.
It is now thought that Harry will return to his homeland of the United Kingdom in May for an Invictus Games event, with a possible reunion between him and his brother on the cards. So, could Harry remain in the UK from May until June for his pal’s wedding? Only time will tell.
