Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly hired a UK PR to help rebuild their brand in Blighty.

The couple are said to be looking at ways to improve their faltering image as it continues to decline amid their very public fallout with the Royal Family. The Duke of Sussex remains open to a part-time return to help sick King Charles with royal duties, but many feel he has burned too many bridges with his outbursts on television and in his memoir, Spare.

However, the speculation they have hired a high-end PR guru to help with their image protection in the UK speaks volumes, according to a royal expert.

Speaking on the latest episode of Palace Confidential, the Daily Mail’s royal editor Rebecca English explained why she thought the couple chose now to rebuild their reputation – and that’s because of Meghan’s aspirations. According to Rebecca, Meghan could be the driving force behind the decision, especially since she has launched her own new project with American Riviera Orchard.

Rebecca said: “I suspect it’s also got something to do with the big plans that we’re hearing about that Meghan is going to launch this big commercial project. I presume this commercial project will have some sort of residence in this country.”

The new brand is set to sell a wide variety of products from cookbooks to jam and homeware. While Meghan is yet to confirm publicly what American Riviera Orchard will be selling, official trademark documents have appeared to tell the tale. Documents filed on February 2 by a company called Mama Knows Best, LLC based in Beverly Hills, and pending review by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, state the brand be selling a variety of items, including tableware, table cutlery, servingware, decanters, dinnerware, chargers, napkin rings, and table placecard holders.

The new brand was announced just hours before Prince William’s speech at the Diana Legacy Awards in London on Thursday. Some said the timing was a “deliberate” move amid the couple’s rift with Harry’s older brother.

Other reasons behind the timing of the release suggested it coincided with their departure of their royal life. Some fans quickly clocked a special meaning the date might have, as it coincides with their “freedom flight” in 2020, which officially marked their move to the US and the end of their time as working royals. The flight took place just as the Covid-19 pandemic meant that borders worldwide with shutting to try to limit the virus spreading.
