Santos question, Delap decision, James absence – Chelsea predicted XI vs Esperance

Chelsea must avoid defeat against Tunisian side Esperance in order to qualify for the round of 16 of the FIFA Club World Cup.

The Blues came out as 2-0 victors in their opening Group D match against Los Angeles FC but were beaten last time out at the hands of Flamengo. A disappointing performance from Chelsea, that was overshadowed by Nicolas Jackson’s daft red card, means there is still work to do for Enzo Maresca and his men in Philadelphia.

However, they go into this evening (US time)/tomorrow morning (UK time) as big favourites against Esperance, who did beat LAFC last time out. Maresca may well make alterations to his line-up yet again after the Chelsea head coach made four changes in the last match.

With that being said, Bobby Vincent does his best at trying to read the Italian’s mind…
