Chelsea have confirmed that Stamford Bridge will play host to the 2025 VisitMalta Weekender that takes place on Friday, August 8 and Sunday, August 10.

The Blues will be taking part in the pre-season tournament alongside the likes of AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen. Chelsea take on Leverkusen on Friday evening (7pm kick-off time) in west London. Milan will then be the opposition for the Blues on Sunday at 3pm.

Todd Kline, President of Commercial for Chelsea, said: “We look forward to bringing the 2025 VisitMalta Weekender to Stamford Bridge this summer as we make final preparations for the 2025/26 season. Hosting AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen provides a high level of competition for the players as they complete their pre-season preparations and the opportunity for the club to roll-out digital ticketing across the stadium.”

Chelsea have confirmed that details around ticketing for the mini tournament will be released ‘in the coming weeks’.

The Milan match on the Sunday comes less than a week before the start date of the 2025/26 Premier League season. Chelsea will discover their opponents on Wednesday for the opening game of the campaign.

The Blues are currently in the United States as they look to add more silverware to what has been a promising season. Enzo Maresca’s team got off to the perfect start in the FIFA Club World Cup on Monday with a 2-0 victory over Los Angeles FC in Atlanta.

The squad will now fly to Philadelphia as they step up preparations for their second group match against Flamengo on Friday. The following Wednesday, Chelsea take on Tunisian side Esperance in their final game of the group stage.
