Arsenal’s summer transfer window begins in earnest on Sunday when the market reopens briefly for clubs to do their business.
The Gunners have ten days to start their summer shopping after FIFA agreed to open the transfer window early for the clubs that are set to take part in the Club World Cup next month. Only Manchester City and Chelsea are representing the Premier League in the United States but all teams across Europe can take advantage of the extra ten days before it shuts and reopens again on June 16 for the remainder of the summer.
For Mikel Arteta, the summer transfer window represents a huge moment in his managerial career. This past season was meant to be the Gunners’ year but yet again they finished second in the Premier League, this time behind Liverpool.
