Chelsea will be hoping to get their hands on the Conference League trophy when they travel to Poland this week.

Enzo Maresca’s side will face Real Betis at the Wroclaw Stadium on Wednesday night as they aim to win their first major trophy since 2021.

The Blues have already enjoyed a successful season in the Premier League, with their fourth-place finish seeing the club qualify for the Champions League next term.

With a place in Europe already confirmed, Chelsea will now be looking to add some silverware to their season in the form of the Conference League.

Chelsea beat Djurgarden in their semi-final to set up the trip to Poland, while Betis saw off Fiorentina in their last tie of the competition.

Should Chelsea claim a victory over Betis, they would become the first English club to win all three major European competitions. In the process, they would also be given plenty of medals to give out if they are victorious.

UEFA rules state that clubs will be given 50 gold medals for winning the Conference League. These can be handed out to anyone in the club Chelsea would see fit, including players, coaching staff and those working behind the scenes at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea would also receive 50 silver medals if they were to lose to Betis and finish the tournament as runners up.

Given the amount that are available to Chelsea, pretty much every first-team star or player who has featured in the Conference League this season would be able to receive a medal should the club choose to do so.

This would also include players who have not featured in the Conference League this season. Romeo Lavia has made just one appearance in a qualifying fixture back in August but may still be awarded a medal by the Blues.

Mykhailo Mudryk would also be eligible to receive a medal despite being currently unavailable due to suspension. The Ukraine international made four appearances across the league phase of the competition, scoring three goals and three assists.

Chelsea can end the 2024/25 Premier League season on a high, but it is never quiet at Stamford Bridge and the summer looks set to be one full of news, with Enzo Maresca looking for transfer to bolster his squad.
