Thomas Frank was asked about the possibility of Tottenham signing Eberechi Eze ahead of the UEFA Super Cup final against PSG. The Premier League gets underway this week and Spurs are in need of reinforcements to bolster their squad for what looks set to be a hectic campaign.

The club are targeting a new No.10 and centre-back in the transfer market and a new winger could be brought in to replace Son Heung-min if the right option is available. In terms of a potential transfer for a winger, Tottenham are in talks with Manchester City over a deal for Savinho.

The Brazilian, who only moved to the Etihad Stadium last summer, is comfortable playing on either wing and as an attacking midfielder if needed. When it comes to Eze, the club have a long-standing interest in the Crystal Palace ace and he would be a statement signing ahead of the new season if they can get a deal over the line.

Speaking ahead of the UEFA Super Cup final against PSG, Frank provided an update during his pre-match press conference.

The Dane said: “I think there’s a lot of good players out there, including a lot in the PSG team, but we can’t have all of them. Players in or out, I’m only going to speak about my players.”

With the injuries to Dejan Kulusevki and James Maddison, Frank is believed to want a new No.10 for some extra creativity. Eze could certainly be that man but any deal is likely to cost north of £60million.

With the summer transfer window closing on September 1, Spurs now have under three weeks to secure a deal. After PSG, Tottenham face Burnley at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday in their first Premier League fixture of the season.
