Tube and DLR recap updates after person dies on tracks in East London

Two parts of the DLR are shut this morning (Wednesday, December 3) due to a casualty on the track. British Transport Police confirmed that a person died on the tracks at Poplar station.

No trains are running on the network between Canary Wharf and Stratford, and Canning Town and Poplar while emergency services are in attendance.

Affected passengers can use the Jubilee line and/or local bus routes to reach their destination.

Elsewhere on the TfL network, the District, Piccadilly and Bakerloo lines were experiencing minor delays, but these have since been resolved. Disruption was severe on all three this morning.

This included the District line being shut between Turnham Green and Ealing Broadway, with severe delays stretching from West into Central London.

The Overground’s Mildmay line is severely delayed between Clapham Junction and Willesden Junction, with more minor delays along the rest of the line.
