Dino Palmiotto, the owner of Las Vegas strip club Exposé, is protecting Prince Harry’s boxes – which he paid nearly £200,000 – in a shrine and took out a huge insurance on them

A pair of underwear Prince Harry allegedly wore during a party in Las Vegas have been insured for $1million (£780,000) and are now being protected by a shrine.

Strip club boss Dino Palmiotto bought the boxers at auction for $250,000 (£196,300) from party girl Carrie Royale, who claimed she kissed Harry and even snagged some photos that she says will “shock the public”. About the sale, Carrie said: “In San Diego there is a strip club, Exposé, and the owner bought them. He is still trying to build a shrine to Harry as far as I know.”

Mr Palmiotto said he spent “a lot of money” on the underwear but added “they’re worth it” as he added: “They haven’t been washed, they’re in original condition from that night in 2012.” He added: “These are the real crown jewels and people are excited to come down here and see them.”

The strip club boss said he is taking no risks in protecting the pants and has upped security, as well as taking a huge insurance policy on them. He told The Sun: “We’re placing a $1million insurance policy on Harry’s underpants. I am seriously scared that someone’s going to break into the club and try to steal them. And you’ve got to protect the crown jewels. We’ve been getting flooded with calls and people that want to see them and we want to protect them. The security has been increased here quite drastically. We’ve added security robots in the actual parking lot and, even when we’re not here, the alarm system has been increased and more lasers have been added. We’ve constructed a special case to hold these underpants and they’re locked and bolted in. I take this very, very seriously. Harry, your underpants are safe at Exposé.”

Mr Palmiotto added he has not heard from Harry or his wife Meghan Markle after buying the pants but said that if the Duke of Sussex wants to go and see them, he will receive “VIP treatment”.

Carrie, a former stripper, said Harry handed her his pants and added she wanted them to be a reminder of the old “fun Harry” before he became “a bore”. Her representative told us in 2022: “Harry has become such a bore, it’s a real shame. When he partied in Vegas, everyone loved him and his sense of fun. At least these pants are a reminder of what he used to be like… when Harry was the fun prince. It’s a shame he’s all po-faced and serious these days. Even as a married dad of two, he should still let his hair down now and again – what’s left of it any way.” Harry’s pants have previously been on display at Sin City’s Erotic Heritage Museum before being acquired by Mr Palmiotto and being put on display at his Vegas club Exposé.
