Arsenal fans are keeping their fingers crossed that Andrea Berta can work his magic in the transfer market at some point very soon. At a time when Liverpool and Manchester City have signalled their intent for the upcoming season with eye-catching transfer moves, Arsenal are still waiting to entice players to the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners have been mentioned heavily in the headlines this summer in regards to potential new signings. Martin Zubimendi looks on course to join from Real Sociedad but everyone is still waiting for the deal to be officially completed, with Kepa Arrizabalaga another Spaniard set to move to Arsenal.
A new striker is a must, then, with the club looking set to go for one of Benjamin Sesko or Viktor Gyokeres. Whoever becomes an Arsenal player will have the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of club greats as two iconic shirt numbers are currently available.
Here we take a look at the numbers free for the club’s summer signings to take on ahead of the 2025/26 season.
