Getting engaged is supposed to be one of the happiest moments in your life but according to one woman, there’s a right way and a wrong way to do it. Sharing on her social media page, artist Jordan Hardman explained that there is a certain type of proposal that gives her the ‘ick’, and if her future husband ever does this she’s going to be “pi**ed”.

Explaining the scenario, Jordan said on TikTok : “This might be a very niche ick, and I understand that, but if my man proposes and he does this, I’m pi**ed. I’m f***ing pi**ed. And I’ve seen this and I just.”

Reflecting that it might just be something she feels strongly about, Jordan suggested that if anyone watching was considering proposing soon then to take note. She went on: “When you’re about to get down. They’re getting down. And you look back at pictures now, the Hunchback of f**king Notre Dame don’t know how to.” Demonstrating what she meant, she proceeded to get down on the floor and rather than getting into a traditional one-knee pose, she showed off more of a crouch, or God forbid, a two-knee position.

She continued: “Don’t know how to get on their knees like this. I’ve seen so many 90 f**king degrees. This [pointing to her back] should be straight. Boom. I don’t want no. Please marry me. Stand the f**k up. I know that is niche, but I swear to god, if I post a picture and my man’s doing one of these, I’m pi**ed. I’m f***ing pi**ed.”

People watching the video were quick to agree with many referencing well-known YouTuber Shane Dawson’s proposal video. One person commented: “Your ick is kinda valid. Will make sure to do it right when I propose to my future wife.” And another user added: “the search being “shane dawson proposing both knees” is sending me straight into orbit.”

Other viewers shared their own proposal ‘icks’. One person commented: “Mine is when they dropped down to the knee and just smile at you. No speech, no PROPOSAL, just a stare and empty smile.” However, many watchers confessed they had to go back and check their own engagement photos to make sure this didn’t happen to them. And someone else penned: “I’m proposing to my girl later this year and honestly thank you so much for bringing this to my attention. I will be practicing.”
