TikTok has been flooded with comments as one woman unveiled the shockingly hilarious mistake her baker made when dishing up a birthday cake for the special occasion

Finding the perfect birthday cake is no mean feat. From too much icing, to not enough chocolate – it can be quite overwhelming to get hold of the best recipe.

But one woman claims her baker made an unbelievably embarrassing blunder when dishing up her white-iced dessert, leaving her completely gobsmacked as soon as she laid eyes on it. Taking to TikTok, Peyton Chimack (@peychimack) wrote: “When I tell you my mouth dropped when I got in the car and opened up the cake…”

Showing a slideshow of images, Peyton unveiled that she had first sent the baker an ‘inspiration picture’ of the cake she wanted – an all-white circle-shaped design with a simple black-iced message in the centre. Around the edges were delicately piped white icing swirls and four black ribbon bows.

While the final product managed to perfect the white, circular design with delicately iced edges, something was certainly off. Turns out, the baker had written Peyton’s instructions in the centre of the cake.

“Aries baby (small cursive in the middle of the cake),” the dessert hilariously read.

Peyton’s TikTok has since been met with countless comments, with users just as stunned as she was on first seeing the ‘cake fail’. One person wrote: “I NEED to know what goes through people’s heads while they are actively piping on what is clearly a note. Are they really just like ‘yep, perfect, no concerns whatsoever’?”

Another later added: “As a cake decorator that hurts omg,” as someone else chimed in: “This is better than getting what you originally wanted! You can look back at it anytime and just laugh.”

Others also confessed that similar things had happened to them too, with one person recalling: “Same exact thing happened to my sister when she ordered me a cake … LMAO they put ’27 in the middle’.”

Another joked: “The same thing happened to my cousins omg we asked for ‘Happy birthday Max in orange’ and they wrote that instead of orange icing,” as someone else remembered: “This is better than getting what you originally wanted! You can look back at it anytime and just laugh.”

The incident also comes just days after The Mirror reported on a similar scenario, in which one husband ordered his wife a 30th birthday cake. Rather than writing ‘thirty’ however, the baker instead put ‘minty’. This too was met with almost 5k shocked comments, with one person writing: “These are the kinds of things that make an inside joke for a lifetime.”
