Women leading the charge for sexual wellness on IWD

Women who are taking the sexual wellness industry by storm have been celebrated on International Women’s Day.

Emma is a mum of three and one of the UK’s leading female entrepreneurs. She made her name launching the global female empowerment brand Killing Kittens in 2005, now incorporated into the KK Group with over 200,000 members having launched events across the US, Australia and Europe and has grown online into an online community network.

April 2023 saw the group launch the world’s first sex-positive social dating app WeareX now WAX app. Emma can also be found running the Sisterhood – a group of females competing in extreme and adventure sports. The group to date has raised over £1,000,000 for women’s charities.

Kalila Bolton and Holly Jackson are Oxford graduates who have swapped life as a lawyer and retail strategy manager to bring to life their collective passion for female sexual health and wellness to create and launch wellness retail hub, SheSpot. Kalila and Holly wanted to create a trusted brand that celebrates female sexuality in a safe environment. Their curated SheSpot store provides a gateway into the expanding world of sexual wellness, whilst also breaking down residual taboos around female health along the way. SheSpot is now available in Superdrug

Jacqui Rubinoff is mum of two, an entrepreneur and a relationship expert as well as being Vice President of fragrance brand, Eye of Love. Jacqui is also a certified Love Coach and Relationship Expert.

Jacqui continues to use her expertise to offer invaluable advice and guidance to singles and couples alike. Whether through events, seminars, or the Eye of Love platform, Jacqui empowers individuals to strengthen their relationships and foster enduring connections.

Alice Lovegood is an accredited sex educator with an instagram platform that has grown exponentially since launch, as well as her personal account she launched an educational platform on instagram She is now the most followed sex educator in the UK.

Alice breaks down complex topics and is passionate about destigmatising the conversation around sex.

Founder Patricia López is the driving force behind male sexual health brand, MYHIXEL.

MYHIXEL was founded after Patricia worked – for several years – for a leading brand in the sex-tech industry, and observed a lack of options focusing on improving men’s sexual well-being.

Julia Margo, co-founder of London based, global sex tech brand, Hot Octopuss, is a mother of 3 and a published author on social change, wellbeing and consumer issues. Julia focuses on lesser-served markets in the sex toy industry, including disabled and older consumers, with a range of inclusive products.
