Hello and welcome to football.london’s live blog covering Arsenal’s Premier League match with Brighton at the Amex Stadium. The Gunners could return to the top of the Premier League with a win over one of the sides they have found incredibly challenging in recent years.

Arsenal may have won by scoring plenty at the Amex last season and Brighton might not have their stars of previous campaigns either but their home record has been excellent. They’ve only lost once on the South Coast and are desperate to pick up points in the race for the European qualification spots.

Mikel Arteta will hope that Bukayo Saka is able to complete training ahead of the game after he missed the clash with Luton Town in midweek having failed to pass the fitness tests. He came off against Man City with fatigue and was not risked against Rob Edwards’ side.

The home side are missing some key players like Kaoru Mitoma, Billy Gilmour, Jack Hinshelwood, Solly March and James Milner with Evan Ferguson missing the draw with Brentford which was described as a ‘knock’. Danny Welbeck has, however, been in good form and could start against his former side.

Arteta will also be thinking about the incoming Champions League clash with Bayern Munich on Tuesday. Managing minutes is going to be a key part of the game as Tom Canton and Kaya Kaynak bring you all the build-up, match coverage and reaction from the Amex Stadium – updates to follow.
