A woman has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a crash between a lorry and a pedestrian in North London on Wednesday afternoon (April 10). The Metropolitan Police were called to High Road in Wood Green after receiving reports of the crash at 4.19pm.
The London Air Ambulance, along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, also rushed to the scene. When they arrived, they found the pedestrian, a woman, with serious injuries.
She was taken to hospital to be treated. Several road closures remain in place on High Road, resulting in bus diversions.
Specialist detectives are investigating the incident, the Metropolitan Police say. Anyone who witnessed the collision who may have information that could help, is asked to call Police on 101 quoting CAD 4949/10April.
