Young man stabbed at South London train station as police search for driver seen nearby

Police are keen to find the driver of a silver Ford Puma who passed the station

A young man was rushed to hospital by emergency services after he was stabbed at Belvedere railway station on Friday evening. British Transport Police (BTP) officers were called to the station just after 5.20pm following reports of a knife attack.

Paramedics attended and a 20-year old man was taken to hospital where he is being treated for non life threatening injuries. Detectives wish to speak to the driver of a silver Ford Puma who passed by the station at around 5.15pm.

DI Ian Wright said: “We know the station was busy at the time of the incident and many people may have seen what happened or the events leading up to it, so we are urging anyone with information to get in touch and assist us with our enquiries.

“In particular, we’re keen to speak to the driver of a silver Ford Puma who passed the station at approximately 17.15pm, and anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area.

“Any witnesses, or anyone else with information is urged to get in touch by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 507 of 14 November.”
