The founder of Lindi Reynolds & Co, the award-winning luxury interior design studio, Lindi Reynolds has accepted an invitation to join the judging panel for the British Institute of Interior Design Student Drawing Competition 2026 , one of the most respected annual competitions in the field, celebrated for the way in which it champions and elevates emerging interior design talent from across the country.
Running every year, the competition offers students studying interior design throughout the UK an opportunity to place their technical drawing skills and creative thinking before an audience of respected industry figures, with the dual purpose of gaining professional recognition and receiving the kind of expert feedback that can prove genuinely valuable at such an early point in a design career.
Reynolds will bring her critical eye to the judging process, evaluating entries according to their creativity, originality, technical execution and the success with which each piece manages to communicate a design concept to those viewing it. The judging panel will gather in London on 10th June 2026, and the winner of the competition will be revealed on 25th June.
She brings to the panel a professional career spanning more than 20 years, underpinned by a background that crosses the disciplines of fine art, architecture and brand design to produce a perspective that is genuinely multidisciplinary in its breadth. Before she established her own studio, Reynolds held a senior role at the WPP Fitch Communications Network, an experience that gave her extensive exposure to global brand work and a thorough understanding of visual identity and design communication. She is also the founder of The Artists Appreciation Initiative, which she created specifically to provide support and a platform for emerging British artists.
That Reynolds has been chosen for the panel speaks to the reputation she has continued to build across the interior design sector, and to the active role she plays in fostering and encouraging the development of designers who are still in the early chapters of their professional lives.
Commenting on her role in the panel, Reynolds said: “I am truly honoured to be invited to judge the BIID Young Artists Drawing Competition later this year. Drawing is where everything begins — it is the most honest and immediate expression of creative thinking, and there is something deeply exciting about witnessing fresh talent in its early stages. As someone who has spent a career championing the role of art and creativity within design, this feels like a privilege and a responsibility I will relish in equal measure. I cannot wait to see what the next generation has to offer.”
Her commitment to giving back to the world of design is also evident in the broader work she undertakes, which includes forthcoming charitable involvement with the Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals, sitting alongside her ongoing studio work and personal creative practice.
The competition opened to entries on 12th March 2026 and will close on 14th May. A shortlist will subsequently be drawn up and the selected entries will be reviewed by the full judging panel when it convenes in June.
