Two incidents in South London saw roads being closed causing delays on a busy Sunday morning. In Tooting, traffic and travel the A214 Tooting Bec Road was closed in both directions between B242 Garrads Road and Doctor Johnson Avenue because of a collision involving a car and moped. Police were called at 1.20am and the road was closed until 9.30am.
In Beckenham, the A2015 High Street was closed in both directions between Albemarle Road (Beckenham Green) and Church Avenue (St George’s Church) because of a man was found unresponsive on High Street. The road was closed from 1.50am to 9.45am.
In the Tooting incident, the rider of the moped was taken to hospital and has non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the car was arrested.
In Beckenham, the man was taken to hospital for treatment and his injuries are also believed to be non-life-threatening.
