6 people treated after crash, say Met Police

The Metropolitan Police has issued a statement following the bus crash in Maida Vale this afternoon.

Six people, including the driver of the double decker bus, were treated at the scene on Harrow Road for injuries.

A spokesperson for the London police force said: “Police were called at 14:18hrs on Tuesday, 16 July to reports of a bus in collision with scaffolding at Harrow Road, W9.

“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. At the scene the bus, which was carrying passengers, had collided with scaffolding on a commercial premises.

“Six people, including the bus driver, were treated by medics at the scene. None of the injuries are thought to be serious.

“Road closures and safety cordons are in place.

“There have been no arrests.

“Anyone who witnessed this incident or has dashcam footage should call police on 101 or post on X @MetCC quoting 4316/16JUL.”
