A man in his 60s has died following a crash on the M25 last night (Friday, April 25). His Suzuki motorbike and a grey Vauxhall Vivaro collided on the Junction 20 slip road, near Watford, just before 9pm.
Police and paramedics rushed to the motorway but the motorcyclist passed away at the scene. His family are now being supported by officers from Hertfordshire Police.
The van driver remained at the site of the crash and is helping officers with their enquiries. Police are now urging witnesses to come forward and help the investigation.
Sergeant Matthew O’Neill, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “Firstly, our thoughts remain with the man’s family and friends at this difficult time. Officers are continuing work to establish the circumstances of what happened and urge anyone who was in the area at the time to please make contact with us via email.
“Additionally, if you were driving in the area at the time and have a dash cam fitted, please check it as you may have recorded some crucial footage.”
Dash cam footage should be uploaded via DAMS. Information can also be reported online or via Hertfordshire Police’s online web chat. Alternatively, witnesses can call 101, quoting ISR 748 of 25 April, 2025.
