Chelsea are busy stepping up their preparations for the Conference League final, where they will face Real Betis on Wednesday night.

Enzo Maresca and Co. will travel to the Wroclaw Stadium in Poland to face the La Liga club in the final this evening. Chelsea go into the game looking to win their first major trophy since Maresca was named as the club’s new head coach last year.

The Blues defeated Djurgarden in the semi-final to set up the final against Betis, and recently claimed a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the Premier League in their last fixture.

Maresca will have several key players at his disposal to face Betis in the Conference League final. However, the Chelsea boss will also have other players on the sidelines and unavailable for selection.

Nicolas Jackson will be available for Chelsea despite being sent off in the defeat to Newcastle in the Premier League earlier this month. Red cards in the top flight do not apply to European competitions, meaning he will be part of the squad to face Betis.

Chelsea will be without Wesley Fofana and Omari Kellyman due to injury, while Mykhalio Mudryk remains unavailable due to a suspension. Romeo Lavia will also not be in the squad after he was not named in List A by the club and is ineligible to feature in List B.

Chelsea will be buoyed by the momentum of qualifying for the Champions League after Sunday’s 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest secured their return to European football’s elite competition.

“I didn’t have any doubt, to be honest, about the players, I said that the doubt was from outside,” Maresca said.

“All the ones that (think) they are the answer, or all the ones that they are the truth, they were saying that we are too young, we are not good enough.
