It is well-known that the month of July starting marks the point where clubs can register new signings under a new accounting timeline. Arsenal are a side very conscious of working within the parameters set by both the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability regulations alongside UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules.

Registering players from July onwards will be of benefit to clubs such as the Gunners and therefore there is an expectation that we will see the announcement of the north London side’s new players. There are as many as four players who are believed to be either close to signing or who have already joined and are just awaiting publication of their new residence.

Arsenal remain in the advanced stages of securing a deal with Brentford for Christian Norgaard. They are also expected to bid again to Valencia for Spanish defender Cristhian Mosquera. However, in both cases, more needs to be done before deals are complete.

The deals expected to be announced this week by football.london is goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, who joins from Chelsea. The Spaniard’s £5million release clause was activated by the Gunners, with the stopper ready to battle countryman David Raya for a spot in the Arsenal team.

He will be joined by fellow Spanish international Martin Zubimendi. There is some fatigue around what is, without a doubt, an excellent signing for Arsenal of a top midfielder who is arguably the best on the market in his position this summer, but with it being known since January that he is on his way, the announcement will bring perhaps more relief than excitement.

Arsenal remain in the hunt for attacking reinforcements too. The club are interested in Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze and Real Madrid’s Rodrygo while in the striker department, negotiations are ongoing for Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres with a resolution between the pair not yet found.

While the attacking signings are not expected this week, there is a determination to get as many players in before the pre-season tour starts, with the players flying out to Asia on July 19. They will play three matches before returning for two final fixtures at the Emirates Stadium before the Premier League season begins at Old Trafford.
