Carlos Alcaraz spared time for a chat with Bukayo Saka and Jurrien Timber following his win over Cameron Norrie at Wimbledon. The two-time defending champion cruised to victory against the British hopeful on Wednesday afternoon, booking himself a place in the semi-final against Taylor Fritz.

Saka was in attendance at Centre Court as Alcaraz enjoyed straight sets of 6-2, 6-3 and 6-3. After the game, the duo were introduced for the first time, and they seemed to get on like a house on fire.

Marking the occasion, Alcaraz and Saka posed for a picture with Timber, who was also at Wimbledon. The Arsenal talisman posted the picture on Instagram, which quickly eclipsed 200,000 likes.

Saka was also snapped enjoying a candid chat with the tennis star. On his Instagram story, the England international wrote: “Pleasure to meet you. Good luck with the rest of the tournament @carlitosalcarazz.”

Saka and Timber were not the only Arsenal players to have been spotted at Wimbledon this week. Riccardo Calafiori and Leandro Trossard have also crossed the river to watch the tennis in west London.

The Gunners defender caught up with Flavio Cobolli ahead of his quarterfinal clash against Novak Djokovic. Calafiori’s fellow countryman enjoyed a dramatic win over Marin ÄŒilić in the round of 16 on Monday.

Meanwhile, Trossard joined his partner, Laura Hilven, in attendance at Centre Court for Alcaraz’s win over Norrie and Aryna Sabalenka’s victory against Laura Siegemund. As the Wimbledon championships draw to a close, Mikel Arteta will begin to step up pre-season preparations at the Sobha Realty Training Centre.

Later this month, the Arsenal squad will jet off to Singapore for pair of friendlies. The Gunners will face AC Milan on July 23 before locking horns with Newcastle United a few days later on July 27.

Then, on July 31, Arsenal will take on Tottenham Hotspur at the Kai Tak Sports Park in Hong Kong. Before Arteta’s side start their new Premier League season with a trip to Old Trafford, they’ll return to north London for a couple more friendlies.

Arsenal’s 2025/26 home kit

Arsenal has launched the new home kit for the 2025/26 season, featuring a nod to the Gunners’ classic 1990/91 league-winning home shirt.

Arsenal will host Villarreal and Athletic Club at the Emirates Stadium on August 6 and August 9, respectively. The Gunners have some difficult fixtures in the calendar this summer, so Arteta will want the likes of Saka and Timber to be ready from the off.
