Arsonist escapes secure medical facility in Bexleyheath and is now on the run

A convicted arsonist has absconded from a secure mental health facility in Bexleyheath and is now on the run from the police. Joseph Cachia, 43, absconded while on escorted leave from the facility in southeast London.

He was last seen in a coffee shop in Bexleyheath Town Centre on March 9. Scotland Yard have urged members of the public not to approach Cachia but to call 999 immediately if he is seen.

He is described as white, approximately 6ft tall of average build with ginger hair and glasses. He was last seen wearing a green jacket, dark green T-shirt, light green tracksuit and yellow socks with black trainers.

Members of the public are advised not to approach Cachia but to call 999 immediately if he is seen. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is advised to call 101 and quote ref: 01/65788/24.
