Half time – Player ratings

Sanchez – Looked nervy at times and opted to go long when other passes were on. Slow with his distribution. 5

Gusto – Characteristically spritely down the right-hand side but leaving space in behind for Mavididi to counter. 5

Disasi – Has not been asked too many questions so far. Couple of necessary clearances when called on. 6

Chalobah – Good defensive block to stop Leicester’s counter and set up Chelsea’s move. 6

Cucurella – Simple finish but great awareness to find the space. Good defensive clearances inside the box too. 7

Gallagher – Tried to make things happen through the middle but very limited impact so far. 5

Caicedo – Has not been too challenged in the middle yet. A good through ball to Sterling was sadly not capitalised on. 5

Palmer – Always a threat and played the key pass to Jackson before the assist for Cucurella. Fantastic finish for the second on the day. 7

Mudryk – Trying to make things happen with his speed but much more isolated playing in the middle. Had a couple of shots from unfavourable positions, one blocked another straight at the keeper and parried. 6

Sterling – Was fouled for but missed the resulting penalty. Really poor strike. Then missed a clear one-on-one which should have been better but did set up Palmer’s goal saving him an even lower score. 4

Jackson – Great skill before the perfect square ball to Cucurella. 7
