The UEFA Europa League has reached the quarter-final stage and West Ham are in the hat – or pot to put it more exactly – for the last eight. the Hammers thumped German side Freiburg 5-0 on Thursday night to secure their place in the lst eight – 6-1 on aggregate.

They will not be the only Premier League side in Friday’s quarter-final draw. Liverpool are also in there having smashed Sparta Prague 11-2 on aggregate in their last-16 clash.

Brighton, however, went out. They could not overturn the 4-0 deficit against Roma from the first leg, with Danny Welbeck’s goal being the only goal of the game in the second leg at the Amex Stadium on Thursday.

David Moyes’ side will be hoping to avoid Liverpool, and the likes of Roma and Bayer Leverkusen in the last eight. You can follow live updates from Nyon in Switzerland right here.
