A pedestrian has reportedly been hit by a vehicle in West Hampstead this evening. A post on X shows a cordon being set up in front of a person who is lying in the street covered by a blanket as paramedics tend to them on West End Lane, outside West Hampstead Tube station.

Witnesses report hearing a “bang” on the road outside and believe it was a woman who was hit by a moped which was filtering through traffic – MyLondon is checking whether this is the case with the Met Police.

The condition of the person is yet unknown but they are understood to be in the care of the London Ambulance Service. The post also shows what appears to be an unmarked police car in attendance with blue lights shining out from a black SUV car.

The incident has meant there is heavy traffic on West End Lane according to Google Maps’ live traffic data. MyLondon has contacted the Met Police for a comment on the incident.
