Mikel Arteta provides positive Arsenal update on Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli

Bukayo Saka is ready to face Luton Town on Wednesday despite not completing the weekend clash with Manchester City. There was further positive updates on Gabriel Martinelli too from the Arsenal boss.

Arteta faced the press ahead of Arsenal’s clash with Luton Town in the Premier League. Coming off the back of the crucial draw with Manchester City the Gunners boss was keen to respond quickly and get back to winning ways.

Several players returned from issues over the international break to face City including Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli and the aforementioned Saka. The winger was taken off against City with what Arteta described as fatigue.

Providing the latest update on the squad he said: “Yeah, he’s fine. Obviously, we haven’t trained, we recovered.

“We will have a short, light session and we’ll see if he is in the best condition to start the game.”

On Martinelli, he provided further positivity. On the Brazilian’s availability, he said: “He is [available] because he was available to play against a really tough opponent two days ago.”
