According to a royal expert and author, Prince Harry likely feels ‘keenly’ that his children Archie and Lilibet are missing out on a major Royal tradition this Easter

Prince Harry feels “keenly” that his children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are missing out on a major Royal tradition this Easter, it has been claimed by an expert.

The Duke of Sussex and his wife Meghan Markle stepped down from their senior roles within the Royal Family in 2020. The couple then decided to move across the pond to Meghan’s home country of America.

Since the summer of 2020, the Sussexes have resided in Montecito, California. The pair have brought up their two children in the lavish neighbourhood in which they reside, with the young Prince and Princess seemingly kept away from royal life completely.

Due to the family residing in Santa Barbra and remaining out of the royal fold, this means they don’t take part in the many traditions around public holidays like Christmas and Easter. Royal expert and author Tom Quinn has now weighed in on the royal traditions, with him also revealing how Harry might be feeling to not be part of the Easter tradition and celebrations once again.

“The Royal Family traditionally meet on Easter Sunday at Windsor for a service in St George’s Chapel, followed by a brief walkabout and then a very traditional lunch of roast lamb,” Mr Quinn noted.

He added: “Harry always enjoyed this tradition because he got to meet an adoring public for a short period. But what’s really going to upset Harry this year is that his children will miss out on the Easter egg hunt that takes place afterwards.”

Mr Quinn added that this is a tradition that dates back to Queen Victoria, urging: “And of course it would’ve given Archie and Lillibet a chance to get to know George Charlotte and Louis. The family rift is going to prevent this and Harry will feel it keenly.”

This all comes at a tricky time for the Royal Family as King Charles will lead the service and rally the nation alongside Queen Camilla, amid the King and Princess of Wales’ health woes. This will all happen while the Sussexes are expected to spend it in California with their children.
